- ONTARIO ACCESSIBILITY PLAN – WELCOMING PEOPLE WITH A DISABILITY ONTO OUR PREMISES
1.1 Grantek Customer Service Plan
Grantek Systems is committed to excellence in customer service while welcoming all people to our premises, including those with disabilities. We will ensure we interact with all customers in a manner that:
- Accommodates individual disability-related needs
- Reflects the principles of dignity and independence
- Seeks to provide integrated services
- Occurs in a timely fashion
1.2 Assistive devices
Where applicable and required, we will ensure that our employees are trained and familiar with the various assistive devices we have on site or that we provide, that may be used by people with disabilities while accessing our services or premises.
1.3 Communication
We will communicate with people with disabilities in ways that take into account their disability. We will consult with people with disabilities to determine their information and communication needs.
1.4 Service animals
We will welcome people with disabilities and their service animals to our premises. Service animals are allowed on our premises that are open to the public.
1.5 Support persons
A person with a disability who is accompanied by a support person will be allowed to have that person accompany them onto our premises.
1.6 Notice of temporary disruption
In the event of a planned or unexpected disruption to our facilities for people with disabilities, Grantek will notify those people promptly. This clearly posted notice will include information about the reason for the disruption, its anticipated length of time, and a description of alternative facilities or services, if available.
1.7 Employment
We are committed to fair and accessible employment practices. We will take steps to notify the public and staff that, when requested, we will accommodate people with disabilities during the recruitment process and when people are hired.
1.8 Training
Where applicable and required, Grantek will provide training to Ontario employees, volunteers and others who directly deal with the public or other third parties on our behalf. Training will also be provided to Ontario people involved in the development of policies, plans, practices and procedures related to the provision of our goods and services.
Individuals in the following positions will be trained: Ontario HR, Ontario Reception.
Training will include:
- An overview of the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act, 2005 and the requirements of the customer service standard.
- Grantek’s policy related to this standard.
- How to interact and communicate with people with various types of disabilities.
- How to interact with people with disabilities who use an assistive device or require the assistance of a service animal or a support person.
- What to do if a person with a disability is having difficulty in accessing Grantek’s premises.
Such employees will also be trained when changes are made to your accessible customer service plan.
1.9 Accessible Formats and Communications Supports
If a person with a disability needs an accessible format, or help to communicate with us, we will work with the person to provide the format or support that will meet their needs at no additional cost to them. If we are not able to meet the person’s particular requirement in a reasonable timeframe, we will inform them and will work with them to determine an alternate method or will provide a summary of the information.
1.10 Feedback process
People who wish to provide feedback on the way Grantek welcomes people with disabilities can do so in the following ways:

How we process data collection on this website?
The data collected on this website is captured and processed automatically. A website administrator is responsible for managing these automated processes. Processing your personal information is based on the legal premise that you have unambiguously given your consent.

Grantek collects and uses your personal information to better serve you and personalize your experience with Grantek. Such collection is done with appropriate notice and consent. It is always up to you whether to disclose your personal information to us.
Personal information (or personal data) means any information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person (‘data subject’); an identifiable person is one who can be identified, directly or indirectly, to one or more factors specific to his or her physical, physiological, mental, economic, cultural or social identity.
The types of personal information we collect from you may include:
- your name, company, email address, phone number, and shipping address
- customer type, job function, job title, purchasing authority, purchasing timeframe and others
- product and service preferences, contact preferences, educational and employment background, and job interest data
- IP address (see information below on cookies)
2.3 How we use your information
Browsing and Searching: We collect certain personal Information when you visit the sites or click on the various links for products and services. We collect this information to improve your web user experience for your next visits (ex: country selection), help run the sites more efficiently, to gather broad demographic information, to monitor the level of activity on the sites, and to evaluate the effectiveness of our marketing.
Promotional activities: We collect personal Information from you when you enter a promotional program or activity. We use this information to administer the program or activity, to send you promotional e-mails, notify winners, and make the winners’ list publicly available pursuant to applicable regulations and laws.
Newsletters and promotional e-mails: We collect personal Information when you ask to receive newsletters, promotional e-mails, and other information. We use this information to provide you the information you request.
Contact information: If you contact us, we keep a record of your correspondence or comments, including personal Information, in a file specific to you. We use this information to help us provide you better service in the event you contact us again.
We may keep your information for a reasonable period for the purposes set out above.

2.5 What rights do you have regarding your data?

If you provide us with information about another person, you confirm that they have appointed you to act for them, to consent to the processing of their personal data including sensitive personal data and that you have informed them of our identity and the purposes (as set out above) for which their personal data will be processed.

2.6 Cookies
A cookie is a piece of information in the form of a very small text file that is placed on an internet user’s hard drive. It is generated by a web page server, which is basically the computer that operates a web site. The information the cookie contains is set by the server and it can be used by that server whenever the user visits the site. A cookie can be thought of as an internet user’s identification card, which tell a web site when the user has returned.

Using cookies enables us to provide you with certain features and provides us with information regarding website visits. We may use cookies also to allow us to make the site more user friendly. Most browsers automatically accept cookies but you do not have to accept them. You can typically change your browser to prevent acceptance and you would still be able to enjoy most of the features on the site.
Third party cookies for analytic purpose
In order to provide our visitors with a better service, we may measure the number of page views, the number of visits, the different actions performed by visitors on our site, the geo-location of our visitors and the number of times visitors return to our site.
All of the results which are obtained are then compiled, and are completely anonymous. The results provide information on the navigation and behaviour of Internet users on the websites. Typical information is the number of visitors, the number of visits, the number of pages viewed and other information that is necessary for the effective measurement of Internet user interests. With these results it is then possible to improve the ergonomics and content of the website.
2.7 Your rights to access
As data subjects you may inquire as to the nature of the Personal Data stored or processed about you by Grantek. You will be provided access to your personal data regardless of the location of the data processing and storage.
A Grantek entity processing such data will cooperate in providing such access to you either directly or through a local entity.

2.8 Opposition to promotional emails
We hereby expressly prohibit the use of contact data published in the context of website legal notice requirements with regard to sending promotional and informational materials not expressly requested. The website operator reserves the right to take specific legal action if unsolicited advertising material, such as email spam, is received.
2.9 Change in our data protection regulations
We reserve the right to change our security and data protection measures if this is required due to technological developments. In these cases, we will also adjust our information on data protection accordingly. Therefore, please take note of the currently valid version of our data privacy statement.
2.10 California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA)
Specific to the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA), Grantek will not sell or rent your personal data to a third party without your explicit permission. Please see Section 2 of Grantek’s Terms of Service for more information on your personal data.
As data subjects you may inquire as to the nature of the Personal Data stored or processed about you by Grantek. You will be provided access to your personal data regardless of the location of the data processing and storage. Your privacy rights under CCPA and CPRA will also allow you to make a disclosure or opt-out request regarding your personal data.
All such requests for access, disclosure or opt-out may be sent to: info@grantek.com or made by calling (866) 936-9509. Requests will be responded to within 45 days of submission. Once a request is received by Grantek, an email will be sent to validate the requestor as a part of our standard two-step procedure. If requesting disclosure or opt-out please include one or more of the following in your request:
- request disclosure of information collected;
- request disclosure of information sold;
- non-discrimination relating to Consumers who exercise CCPA and CPRA rights;
- opt-out;
- email address associated with Consumers who exercise CCPA and CPRA rights;
Grantek has not sold or disclosed for business purposes any personal data as listed in Section 2.2 of Grantek’s Terms of Service in the preceding 12 months. We reserve the right to change our security and data protection measures if this is required due to technological developments.
