Verification and<br \/>\n            Validation are separate processes, each with their own sets of<br \/>\n            individual requirements. Together, they contribute to the assurance<br \/>\n            in the integrity of risk reduction measures, leading to an informed<br \/>\n            final decision to release a machine for normal use.\n          <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n              <b>Verification<\/b> is focused on ensuring design outputs are<br \/>\n              checked and approved before any design is released for<br \/>\n              construction. Verification includes activities surrounding the<br \/>\n              analysis of design elements or the entire design. Typically,<br \/>\n              Verification activities are most important when involving<br \/>\n              safety-related parts of control systems.\n            <\/li>\n<li>\n              <b>Validation<\/b> is focused on ensuring that the installation<br \/>\n              conforms to requirements established by the design and Risk<br \/>\n              Reduction Plan. Validation occurs during or at the end of the<br \/>\n              development process and determines the suitability and whether<br \/>\n              performance aligns with intended purpose.
