Sam Russem, Grantek’s Sr. Director of Smart Manufacturing Solutions, has been named a 2021 Engineering Leader Under 40 by Control Engineering Magazine and Plant Engineering Magazine.

The Engineering Leaders Under 40 program recognizes manufacturing professionals under the age of 40 who are making a significant contribution to their plant’s success, and to the control engineering and/or plant engineering professions. Research shows that finding, training and retaining workers is the biggest issue facing manufacturing today. The goal of the Engineering Leaders Under 40 program is to call attention to these successful young engineers in manufacturing and to show how manufacturers are recruiting and developing the next generation of manufacturing professionals. CFE Media, the publisher of Control Engineering Magazine and Plant Engineering Magazine, operates this program.

Sam leads Grantek’s Smart Manufacturing Solutions team. The Smart Manufacturing Solutions team is critical to the success of Grantek’s Strategic Business Development group, and Sam’s experience across various aspects of Grantek’s business make him an ideal choice to lead this initiative. Sam has been with Grantek for over 12 years, 3 ½ years of which he was Grantek’s Director of Smart Manufacturing.
