Inductive Automation has named a Grantek project a 2023 Ignition Community Conference (ICC) Firebrand Award Winner. Firebrand Awards are presented annually to projects that went above and beyond using innovative applications of Ignition by Inductive Automation. All Firebrand Awards are also included in the collection of Discover Gallery finalists, with the Firebrand Awards being projects that truly stand out as exceptional. The Discover Gallery is a video showcase of the most exceptional real-world Ignition applications built by the members of the global Ignition community. The 2023 ICC Virtual Discover Gallery is the best place to see world-class real Ignition projects from many industries and countries. Grantek was named a Discover Gallery finalist in 2020, 2021 and 2022. 2023 is the first year Grantek has won a Firebrand Award.

For this project Grantek’s delivered an alarm management system with the use of the Ignition SCADA system software. This solution provides alarm monitoring, historization and management interface for 10,000+ points while also delivering ad-hoc and scheduled reporting tools to aid in the rationalization of up to 30,000 alarm events per day. Grantek’s solution, built with Ignition Perspective, also provides point change management and tracking tools to assist site administrators in maintaining the associated point meta data, without the versatile performance of Ignition these results would be difficult to achieve.

Dylan Powers oversaw this project for Grantek. Dylan Powers is a Systems Engineer at Grantek with over 15 years of experience in controls/automation in the life sciences and food processing industries. He has designed and implemented multiple innovative solutions to improve OEE/MES in industrial settings using a myriad of technical platforms including Ignition.
